To quote Jean Mill,"The first-generation Bengals sired by a leopard cat are
known as F-1's -- the first filial generation -- and are independent but not threatening." They
don't like to be held, but will rub on Mill's legs and allow her to lift them onto a shelf, or into a
carrier. Pictured is a First Generation Leopard Cat Hybrid bred and owned by Jean Mill. Taken

Their offspring, the F-2's, are more trusting as a rule.
F-3's are, of course, the third generation of offspring.
By the fourth generation, the adults are entirely domestic tempered and will allow strangers to carry them about, even in noisy show halls.
SBT's are any offspring with at least four generations of Bengal to Bengal blood.
Any SBT is qualified to be shown in the TICA arena.
CFA neither allows the Bengal into its registration, nor recognizes it as a breed.
